I have absolutely nothing to do at work, except wait wait and wait.
So I reckon I'd rather sleep late, stay at home and start writing some parts of my thesis.
And then!!!!
When I went upstairs to make my breakfast, Dee and Mike, my lovely housemates said they are going out!! And I could come along!! *bright smile*
N.B: Yesterday I was just about to write this depressing blog entry about how sad I am, away from home, away from my darling, away from good food, away from the whole CNY festive thingy. And most importantly, STUCKED in pathetic, cold, wintry Connecticut with no shopping and no touristic thing!!!
ABSOLUTELY PISSED AND DEPRESSED AND ANNOYED!!
Anyway, the plan was to go to capitol of Connecticut - West Hartford for lunch, head to Westfarms (in Farmington; another city of CT) for some shopping and back to Dee's parents' place in Manchester (yet another city of CT). Wheeeee, thats like fun cos I get to go to 3 cities on a day which is GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!
So, lunch was at a chinese restaurant named Butterfly. It was quite a nice place and I had Gung Pao Chicken with Peanuts (yeah, in case you noticed, they spelt it wrongly!! Haha). Mike forced Dee and me to order my food in Mandarin, just to get a kick outta it. After we did ordered in Mandarin, Mike was elated Haha..I got some great food and great service. The lady boss came to our table to tell me she loves my hair and said she wants to fly to Singapore to have the same haircut. Haha!!
About $10 after the taxes and tips. :(
Next we went to Westfarm Malls for some great shopping. We first went to Nordstroms and I saw COACH!!!
And they had discounts.
And they had discounts on a bag I like.
And I bought the bag!!
*grins widely* :D
Orginal price 298, Discounted price, 200 with tax!!
I reckon it'll be a great bag for work.

Anyway, Nordstroms is amazing.
It is a departmental store like Isetan and Takashimaya.
BUT BETTER!!!

They have this policy that you could return your purchases anytime you want. whether you used it or not!! And they give you the same price that you paid back. So Dee was there to return her Xmas present, a Chloe bag, that was used!! And she got back like 700dollars back, which was exactly the same price she paid for!! Isnt that amazing!! Besides, the service in Nordstrom is amazing good!! They say, "Hi. How was your day? Can I help you with anything?" And they talk to you about everything. Mike was soo sick of waiting for us, he replies "TERRIBLE FROM TOO MUCH SHOPPING!!" to all those sales people, and then they would start talking about everything while we girls were shopping. The service that they give all the customers really puts Singapore to shame. Really. Its amazing!! Also, Nordstrom do a price-match. So if you see a bag at Macys for 200 bucks, and you bought it at Nordstroms for 300. All you have to do is kick a small mini fuss at Nordstrom and they refund you the 100 dollars. They REFUND you!! Isnt that amazing??
*really spacious shopping areas, and one whole rack of Juicy Coulture jewellery. ALL ON SALE.
But still expensive though :)
Well, this excellent service with a big smile and how is your day thingy only happened in cool shops like Coach, Macys and Nordstroms. Not like Forever 21. But anyway, I went to Forever21 and bought a great romper!! Only $8. But its in Medium and I really dun care. I just have to get it. Even though its bigger. Haha...pathetic yeah??!!!
Next, we went to A-Dong Asia Food store to do some chinese groceries shopping. I got xiao long bao, beansprouts, one instant noodles (meehoon) and some HK pastries (egg tart and bo-lo-bao).

And then we went to Bob's Discount Furniture to look at some furniture and more importantly, gorge ourselves with free candies, yummy raisins soft cookies, popcorn, lemonade and tea. They have this cafe area that have all the above goodies for FREE!!! So pppl are eat and eat and eat!! And ppl like me steal candies home!! Haha...
And i sooo happy I missed work and went shopping. My life is less miserable now with some retail therapy. I love my housemates.

Total random post-script: It has been warm the past week, but it was freaking raining all the time.
See, I feel miserable partly bcos the weather is horrible.
And this is wat it is when its sunshine after the snow.
Not soo pretty yeah?
I like this though :)

Its 136 am now. I just finished 3 hrs of a very tensed monopoly (US Version) game and 1.5 hrs on blogging. I am sleepy. Good nite!! *yawnz*
